The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of sassa status the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services level designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more status sassa resources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
